Oven won’t reach or hold temperature

Slow preheats, uneven bakes and burnt bottoms trace to a failing bake or broil element, a drifting temperature sensor, or a control-board relay. We measure the actual cavity temperature rather than trusting the display.

Gas oven not igniting

Door, hinge and self-clean faults

Sagging doors, broken hinges, latch failures after a self-clean cycle, and error codes on the display are all standard repairs, quoted in writing before we touch anything.

Electric stoves and ovens are diagnosed for $89 + tax, which includes a written quote and counts toward the repair you approve. Anything gas (stoves, ranges, ovens and cooktops) is $129 + tax, reflecting TSSA-certified gas-line handling, and commercial calls are the same. Being inside our core Ottawa service area, Nepean pays no travel or kilometre fee. Overnight visits, from 9 PM to 7 AM, carry a $100 flat after-hours fee.

When you book, tell us the brand, model and whether it is gas or electric; that decides both the parts the technician brings and the certification required. A request isn’t an appointment until we call or text to confirm a window of about three hours. On site, the technician tests elements or igniters, switches, sensors and the control board, and on gas units leak-tests every connection they touch, then gives you a written quote before work begins. Finished repairs come with 3 months’ warranty on parts and labour.

Nepean’s kitchen renovations have pushed a wave of smooth-top and induction ranges into homes that started life with coil burners, and each technology fails its own way. Smooth-tops hide their radiant elements under the glass, so a dead burner looks like a dead stove when it is really a modestly priced element or infinite-switch swap. The glass itself only needs replacing if it is cracked, and we quote that honestly because it is sometimes not worth it.
