Emergency appliance repair in Ottawa

Not every broken appliance is an emergency, but some are: a fridge failing before you can move the food, a dishwasher leaking onto a hardwood floor, a dryer that is overheating, an oven that dies while you are cooking for guests. Fridge or freezer failure

Food spoils fast once a fridge passes 4 °C. Keep the doors closed, and if the fresh-food side has been warm for several hours, pack milk, raw meat and cooked leftovers into a cooler with ice packs.

Water leak from a washer or dishwasher

Leaks damage floors, cabinets and the subfloor underneath. Close the supply valve behind the washer or under the sink, soak up what you can, and don’t run the machine again until it has been checked.

Dryer overheating or smelling burnt

Stop using it immediately and unplug it. Lint fires start this way, usually behind a clogged vent or a failed thermostat.

Oven or stove dead

Timing matters, especially around holidays and dinner parties. Electric and induction ranges are repaired on site, and gas ranges and ovens in Ontario by our TSSA-certified technicians.

Gas appliance problems

If you smell gas, leave the house and call the gas utility from outside first, Enbridge Gas in Ontario or Gazifère in Gatineau (or 911). Once the site is safe, we repair the appliance.

Don’t force the handle; that breaks the latch and doubles the repair. The door releases once the water is out and the drum has stopped, so a blocked drain is often the real fault, and the technician can open it without damaging the machine.

Plenty of companies promise “same day” and then put you in a queue. Here is how an urgent request runs with us:

1. You send a request or call. Tell us the brand, model, symptom and postal code.
2. We give you a real answer. By call or text we confirm either a window today, when the schedule allows, or the earliest slot after that. A request becomes an appointment only once we confirm that time window of about three hours.
3. The technician diagnoses the fault. The residential diagnostic is $89 + tax; gas appliances and commercial equipment are $129 + tax.
4. Written quote before any work. You see the repair price in writing and approve it first. The diagnostic is applied toward the repair you approve.
5. Parts and follow-up. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you the expected timeline before we leave. Afterwards you have a written diagnostic report and a 3-month warranty covering parts and labour.
