How our York Region service works
B&M Canada Appliances is an Ottawa-based repair company. In 2026 we added a technician who lives and works in Newmarket, so York Region customers are served locally, not from Ottawa. You book through our central dispatch line or the online request form. A dispatcher confirms your appointment window, then the Newmarket technician comes to your home.
- Who comes: our Newmarket-based technician, who handles residential repairs.
- When: daytime windows of 10 AM–12 PM, 12–2 PM or 2–5 PM. Same-day visits are possible when the route allows. Otherwise we book the next available day.
- What we don’t do in York Region yet: gas appliances, commercial equipment and overnight emergency calls.

We repair Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, GE, Frigidaire, Maytag, KitchenAid, Bosch, Kenmore, Electrolux and other common household brands. For premium brands like Sub-Zero, Miele or Thermador, call first so we can confirm parts and scope before booking.
What happens from your first call to a finished repair
- Send a request or call. Tell us your address and postal code, the appliance, its brand and model number if you have it, and what it’s doing. An online request is not a confirmed appointment yet.
- We confirm. A dispatcher replies with an available window and any travel fee for outer communities. Your visit is booked once you accept that window.
- Diagnosis. The technician tests the appliance and finds the cause. The $89 + tax service call covers this visit.
- Written quote, your decision. You get the repair price before any work starts. If you decline, you pay only the service call.
- Repair and payment. Many repairs are finished on the first visit. If a part has to be ordered, we book a return visit when it arrives. You pay when the work is done, and the repair carries a 3-month parts-and-labour warranty.

Which areas does your York Region service cover?
Our technician is based in Newmarket. We regularly serve Newmarket, Aurora, Oak Ridges (Richmond Hill), Holland Landing, Sharon, Queensville, Mount Albert, Bradford and King City. Stouffville, Gormley, Nobleton, Schomberg, Keswick and Maple are served by request, and a travel fee may apply there. We quote any travel fee before your appointment is confirmed.
Is this the same B&M Canada Appliances that serves Ottawa?
Yes. B&M Canada Appliances is based in Ottawa and also serves Gatineau and Eastern Ontario. York Region visits are handled by our technician who lives and works in Newmarket, and they are booked through the same dispatch team and phone line.
How much is a service call?
A residential service call is $89 + tax. It covers the visit and the diagnosis, and it applies toward the repair if you approve the quote. If you decide not to repair, you pay only the service call. Communities outside our regular area may have a travel fee, which we tell you before booking.
Can you come the same day?
Sometimes. Same-day visits depend on the technician’s route that day. Many York Region appointments are booked for the next available day. When you submit a request, a dispatcher replies with the actual window before the visit is confirmed.
Do you repair gas stoves, gas ovens or gas dryers in York Region?
Not at this time. Our York Region service covers electric cooking appliances and electric dryers. For gas appliances or a gas smell, contact a licensed gas technician. If you smell gas, leave the home and call your gas utility’s emergency line.
Do you offer emergency or overnight service in York Region?
Not currently. York Region appointments are booked in daytime windows (10 AM–12 PM, 12–2 PM and 2–5 PM). You can send a booking request online at any time, and we reply during business hours.
Are you an authorized service centre for my brand?
No. We are an independent repair company. We repair most major brands, but we are not a manufacturer-authorized service centre. If your appliance is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, contact the manufacturer first so you don’t lose that coverage.
What warranty do repairs come with?
Completed repairs carry a 3-month warranty on the parts we install and our labour for that repair.
