Frigidaire stove repair in Ottawa

A stove is the one appliance you can’t really work around when it breaks. When a Frigidaire oven won’t reach temperature, a surface element won’t turn off or the control panel throws an F-code, B&M Canada Appliances diagnoses the fault in your kitchen and quotes the repair before any work begins. The parts that fail most on Frigidaire ranges are bake and broil elements, surface-element switches, oven sensors, igniters, door locks and control boards. Oven won’t heat or bakes unevenly: F10, F30, F31

On Frigidaire ranges, an F30 or F31 means the oven temperature sensor (RTD probe) is reading open or shorted, so the board won’t fire the element. An F10 indicates a runaway or over-temperature condition, often a shorted sensor or a relay welded closed on the control board. We check the sensor’s resistance (a healthy RTD reads about 1080–1090 ohms at room temperature), inspect the bake element for breaks and test the control relays before quoting. Surface element won’t turn off, or won’t heat

An electric burner stuck on full is a safety issue, usually an infinite-switch contact that has welded closed. A coil or radiant element that won’t heat at all is typically a burned-out element, a failed switch or, on smooth-tops, a cracked element under the glass. Induction zone not working or buzzing

Frigidaire Gallery induction tops can lose a single cooking zone when the induction coil or its power board fails, or show an error when the pan isn’t induction-compatible. A light hum at high power is normal on induction; loud buzzing or a dead zone is not. We confirm the cookware first, then test the coil and inverter board to isolate the fault. Gas burner won’t light or clicks constantly

Continuous clicking after the burner lights, or a burner that won’t light at all, usually comes from a dirty or cracked spark igniter, a wet or misaligned burner cap, or a failed spark module (see gas stove igniter keeps clicking). On the oven side, a weak glow-bar igniter that no longer draws enough current to open the gas valve is the classic cause of a gas oven that won’t heat. We measure the igniter’s current draw and replace it if it’s out of specification.

F90–F95 door-lock errors after self-clean

Frigidaire ovens often fail right after a self-clean cycle: the high heat stresses the door-lock motor and the control board, producing F90–F95 lock faults or a door that stays locked. We free and test the lock assembly and check the board to restore normal operation.

Control panel dead, buttons unresponsive or F11 stuck key

An F11 shorted-keypad error or a dark display points to the electronic oven control (EOC) or the membrane keypad. We confirm which one with a meter rather than replacing both, which keeps the repair cost down.

The diagnostic visit is $89 + tax for electric and induction ranges and $129 + tax for gas ranges. It covers the full on-site diagnosis and a written repair quote, and the fee is deducted from the repair if you proceed. Common fixes such as an element, a sensor or an igniter are quoted on site, before any work, and every completed repair carries a 3-month warranty on parts and labour.
