A top-loader that fills and agitates but won’t spin points to the lid switch, the drive coupler or a worn belt. Error codes such as OE, UE, 4C or F9 E1 tell the technician where to start, so note them when you book.

Dryer repair

Electric dryers that tumble without heat usually have a failed element, thermal fuse or thermostat; gas dryers, a weak igniter, flame sensor or valve coil. Before replacing parts, the technician checks the vent, because a restricted duct is the most frequent reason a thermal fuse blows. Squeaks and thumps come from rollers, glides, the idler pulley or the belt.

Dishwasher repair

When water stays in the bottom, the filter, drain hose, air gap or drain pump is the usual culprit. Dishes that come out dirty point to a blocked spray arm, a weak circulation pump or an inlet valve that isn’t letting enough water in, and a puddle on the floor to the door gasket, the sump or a loose connection under the tub. Stove, oven and cooktop repair
