Error codes 22E, 39E, 21E and a blinking display

22E and 21E are fan errors (fridge side and freezer side), 39E is an ice-maker fault, and communication errors make the display blink or go blank. Each has a specific fix: an evaporator fan, the defrost circuit or the main control board.

Compressor and inverter board failures

A fridge that hums but never gets cold, or clicks on and off, often has an inverter-board or compressor issue. Water under or inside the fridge

Clogged defrost drains and cracked drain pans leave puddles under the crispers or on the kitchen floor. It is a quick fix that prevents floor damage.

Loud humming, buzzing or fan noise

Don’t unplug it and hope. Keep the doors closed while you wait for the visit: an unopened refrigerator keeps food cold for about four hours, a full freezer for about 48 hours and a half-full one for about 24. If the wait will be longer, move milk, meat and leftovers to a cooler with ice, and note what the display shows so you can tell us the code.
