1. Worn door gasket or boot seal (front-load)

3. Failing or clogged drain pump

The drain pump pushes water out during the drain and the spin. A cracked pump housing, a worn seal or a trapped object (coins, clips, lint) can cause leaks underneath the machine. You may also hear a louder pump, or see water only during the drain phase.

4. Tub seal, oversudsing or overloading

A worn outer-tub seal or bearing leaks from the centre of the machine and often comes with noise. Too much detergent, or non-HE detergent in an HE machine, creates excess suds that overflow, and overloading pushes water past the door seal.
