Same-day range repair across Ottawa & Gatineau

Our techs run daily routes through Ottawa, Gatineau, Barrhaven, Kanata, Nepean, Orléans, Stittsville, Manotick, Gloucester, Hull, and Aylmer. We carry oven igniters (universal and brand-specific), bake/broil elements, oven sensors, surface elements, infinite switches, and door gaskets on the truck.

If your range is gas, you want a TSSA-certified tech — and that’s what we send. Uncertified work on gas appliances is illegal in Ontario and dangerous.

How it works

  1. Call (613) 301-0016 or book online — give us brand, model if you have it, and what’s failing.
  2. Tech arrives in a 2-hour window with parts on the truck.
  3. $89 + tax diagnostic paid only after we’ve identified the problem and quoted a fixed price.
  4. Approve repair → $89 + tax residential. Decline → only the $89 is owed.
  5. Most jobs done in one visit. Rare parts may take 1–5 business days.

Repair or replace?

Ranges are usually worth repairing if the problem is one of: igniter, bake/broil element, sensor, infinite switch, or door gasket. Control-board replacements on units older than 8–10 years are often a 50/50 — we’ll show you the part cost vs. replacement cost and let you decide.

For pro-style ranges (Wolf, Viking, Thermador) — almost always worth repairing. These cost $5,000–$15,000 new; even a $1,200 control board makes sense.

FAQ

My oven won’t heat but the cooktop works. What is it?
Most common cause on gas: failed bake igniter (the orange glow you used to see). On electric: failed bake element. Both are inexpensive parts and fast fixes. Sometimes it’s the oven sensor or control board — we’ll test on arrival.

My oven is heating but very unevenly.
Three usual suspects: oven sensor reading wrong, convection fan failed, or door gasket leaking heat. We test with an in-cavity thermometer and diagnose in 15–20 min.

How much does range repair cost in Ottawa?
$89 + tax service call ((residential; $129 + tax commercial)). Most jobs land $200–$550 all-in. Control boards run higher ($350–$900 depending on brand). Pro-style ranges cost more for parts but the repair is almost always worth it.

F1, F2, F3 error codes — what do they mean?
Codes vary by brand. Generally: F1 is control board, F2 is overheat, F3 is sensor. Check your owner’s manual — or call us with the code and we’ll tell you what to expect on the call.

Self-clean cycle locked the oven door — can you unstick it?
Yes. Self-clean lock failures are very common (the door latch motor cooks itself). Easy fix once the oven is cool. Don’t try to force it open with the cycle still running.

Do you service Wolf and BlueStar pro-style ranges?
Yes. Pro-style work takes longer because parts are brand-specific and sometimes have to be ordered. Bring your model number when you call.
