Dryer repair in Rockland

Rockland is one of Eastern Ontario’s fast-growing commuter towns, and whole subdivisions in Morris Village have reached the age when builder-grade dryers start failing out of warranty. Those machines tend to wear in familiar ways: belts and rollers on the drum, thermal fuses when the vent has been neglected, and heating elements after years of long cycles.

A load that needs a second cycle. Lint in the vent, a crushed duct or an outside hood that won’t open. On rural homes, snow drifts can bury a low vent hood, so clear it after a storm.

Thumping, or a drum that won’t move. Drum rollers and the idler pulley wear first; the belt often snaps afterwards.

Nothing happens when you press start. Begin at the electrical panel: electric dryers sit on a two-pole breaker, and if it has tripped, the dryer stays silent. If the breaker is fine, the door switch, start switch or thermal fuse is next on the list.

Stopping mid-cycle. Overheat protection, a weak motor or a sensor fault. The technician tells you which before quoting any part.
