Every Kind of Cooking Appliance, One Number
Cornwall kitchens cook on everything: coil-top workhorses in east-end rentals, glass-top and induction ranges in the newer subdivisions, gas ranges in century homes near downtown, and wall ovens in renovated kitchens along the riverfront. We repair freestanding and slide-in ranges, wall ovens, separate cooktops (electric, gas and induction) and the oven side of dual-fuel units — one technician, one visit, all brands.
Stove & Oven Faults We Repair in Cornwall
Oven won’t heat or heats unevenly
Bake and broil elements, glow-bar igniters on gas ovens, temperature sensors and control boards. If cookies burn on one side or the roast takes an extra hour, the fix is usually a single part we carry.
Burners dead or stuck on one setting
Coil-top infinite switches, radiant elements under glass, and gas burner igniters that click without lighting. Individual burners are repairable — you don’t replace the range for one dead element.
Gas burner problems
Endless clicking, yellow or lifting flames, or a burner that won’t light at all. Our TSSA-certified technicians repair, clean and leak-test gas ranges — never DIY a gas fault, and if you ever smell gas with everything off, leave and call your gas utility’s emergency line first.
Error codes and dead displays
Range control boards and clock/timer modules fail with age and power surges — a frequent call after storm season on rural lines. Usually board-level replacements we quote in writing.
Door, hinge and self-clean casualties
Sagging doors, broken hinges, and the classic post-self-clean dead oven (thermal fuse or door lock). All repairable on site.

Cornwall Stove & Oven Repair — FAQ
My oven won’t reach temperature. What usually causes that?
On electric ovens a weakening bake element or a drifted temperature sensor; on gas ovens an aging glow-bar igniter that clicks but never opens the valve. Both are standard one-visit repairs.
One burner on my glass cooktop stopped working. Repairable?
Yes – radiant elements and their switches are replaceable individually on most glass-top ranges, far cheaper than a new cooktop.
Do you work on gas stoves in Cornwall?
Yes. All gas range and cooktop work is done by TSSA-certified technicians and leak-tested before we leave. The gas diagnostic is $129 + tax.
Is a cracked glass cooktop dangerous?
Stop using it – liquid in a crack can reach live parts. On most models the glass is replaceable; we will quote the glass against replacement so you can decide.
The self-clean cycle killed my oven. Can it be saved?
Very often, yes. Self-clean heat commonly takes out a thermal fuse or the door lock – both repairable. It is one of the most frequent oven calls we get.
