Commercial Kitchen Equipment Repair Ottawa — One Number for the Whole Kitchen
B&M Canada Appliances services the full spectrum of commercial kitchen equipment across Ottawa, Gatineau, and surrounding areas — cooking, refrigeration, dish, prep, and HVAC. One number, one written warranty, one accountable team. Since 1995.
Full kitchen coverage — one accountable team
Most restaurants juggle 3-5 service providers — one for cooking, one for refrigeration, one for dish, one for HVAC, and a handyman. We consolidate that into one number. We diagnose, document, repair where it’s inside our license, and coordinate licensed sub-trades transparently where it’s not.
Cooking equipment
Ranges, ovens, convection, combi, fryers, broilers, grills, salamanders, char-broilers, pizza ovens. See commercial oven repair.
Dishwashing
Door-type, conveyor, undercounter, flight-type, glass washers, pot/pan washers. See commercial dishwasher.
Prep equipment
Mixers, slicers, food processors, scales, vacuum sealers, can openers.
Holding & warming
Heat lamps, holding cabinets, soup wells, steam tables, plate warmers.
Beverage equipment
Coffee machines, espresso, soda dispensers, juice dispensers, draft systems.
Exhaust hoods
Hood motors, fans, makeup-air units, fire-suppression interlocks (coordination).
Commercial HVAC
Furnace, A/C, controls, thermostats, blower work. See commercial HVAC.
How a multi-equipment service call works
1. Shift-aware triage
Call (613) 301-0016. We capture each unit’s make/model/symptom and your service-shift pressure. We then triage by stock-loss risk and shift criticality, dispatching efficiently to fix as many units as possible per visit.
2. On-site multi-unit diagnostic
We diagnose everything you’ve called in — you get one written quote covering all items, separating parts, labour, and any sub-trade coordination cost. Approve in writing per item, work proceeds.
3. Same-day where parts stocked
30+ years across Ottawa-Gatineau means we know which boards, motors, gaskets, heating elements, and ignitions our local distributors stock for same-day pickup. We carry common consumables on the truck.
4. Documented service + warranty
One unified service report covering all items, formatted for HACCP, insurance, landlord-tenant, and chain-account audits. Written warranty on parts and labour installed.
Commercial pricing: Service-call diagnostic $129 + tax. Multi-unit diagnostics on the same visit are bundled at the same service call rate (parts/labour per item is separate). After-hours emergency dispatch (9 PM–7 AM) includes a $100 flat emergency fee. Sealed-system refrigerant work and major gas-line work coordinated with licensed sub-trades — quoted separately.

Frequently asked questions
Can you handle multiple units in a single visit?
Yes — that’s our preferred mode for kitchen-equipment calls. One service call ($129 + tax) covers the diagnostic visit, with parts/labour quoted per item. Multi-unit calls keep your costs predictable and your downtime minimal.
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
Quarterly and semi-annual preventive-maintenance contracts are available for restaurants and chain accounts. PM cycles cover coil cleaning, gasket inspection, ignition cleaning, drain line clearing, and controller calibration. Pricing scales with equipment count and visit frequency.
Are you TSSA-certified for gas equipment?
Yes — TSSA-certified for gas appliance work in Ontario, including commercial ranges, ovens, fryers, and broilers. Major gas-line installation or piping work is coordinated with a separately-licensed gas fitter; the split is on every quote.
Do you handle sealed-system refrigerant work?
Refrigeration cabinet troubleshooting, controls, evaporator/condenser fan work, defrost system, doors, gaskets, and drain lines are inside our license. Sealed-system refrigerant work is coordinated with licensed refrigeration trades.
Can you provide HACCP, insurance, and chain-account audit documentation?
Yes — written diagnostic, parts replaced, labour, technician name, time on-site, and warranty terms in a format friendly to HACCP, insurance, landlord-tenant, and corporate chain audits. Multi-unit calls produce one consolidated audit-ready report.
What’s the warranty?
Every completed repair carries a written warranty on parts and labour installed. Specifics depend on the part and are confirmed in writing before billable work begins.
