How a restaurant install works
1. Site walk-through + measurements
Free initial site walk-through to confirm equipment list, footprint, utility availability (gas size, electrical capacity, water/drain locations), and ventilation requirements. We catch gaps early — wrong gas-line size, missing plug, water line in the wrong wall — before delivery day.
2. Equipment supply coordination
We work with your equipment list — whether it’s already ordered, being sourced, or you want quotes. Direct relationships with major Ottawa-area distributors mean better delivery windows and accurate lead-time estimates. See restaurant equipment sales.
3. Delivery + placement
Coordinated delivery to your site. We handle uncrating, inspection-on-receipt, mechanical placement, leveling, and seismic anchoring where applicable. Damage on arrival is documented and claimed before install proceeds.
4. Mechanical installation (inside our scope)
Setting equipment, electrical plug-in (within existing receptacles), gas hookup for TSSA-certified scopes, water and drain connections, controls programming, and commissioning. Anything outside our license is documented and coordinated to a sub-trade up-front.
5. Licensed-trade coordination
Gas-line installation or modification = licensed gas fitter. New electrical circuits = licensed electrician. Refrigerant line work = licensed refrigeration mechanic. HVAC duct modification = licensed HVAC contractor. We coordinate scheduling, on-site sequencing, and inspection sign-off.
6. Commissioning + training
Final commissioning run — fire each piece of equipment, calibrate controls, verify temperatures and pressures meet manufacturer spec. Brief operations team on operating, daily cleaning, and basic troubleshooting. Document everything for your insurance and TSSA inspector (if applicable).
Install pricing: Quoted per-project after the site walk-through and equipment list. Most kitchen installs are quoted as labour + materials, separately from equipment supply and sub-trade coordination. Site walk-through and initial quote are at no charge. Final invoice itemizes inside-our-license labour, materials, sub-trade coordination, and equipment supply costs.

Frequently asked questions
Do you supply equipment or just install what I buy?
Both. We can source equipment through our distributor network (often with better pricing and lead times than retail) or install equipment you’ve already purchased. See restaurant equipment sales for our supply option.
Can you handle the whole licensed-trade coordination?
Yes — gas fitter, electrician, refrigeration mechanic, HVAC contractor, plumber. We coordinate scheduling, on-site sequencing, and inspection sign-off so you don’t have to chase multiple sub-trades. The split between inside-our-license and sub-trade scope is on every quote up-front.
Are you TSSA-certified for gas equipment hookup?
Yes — TSSA-certified for gas appliance work in Ontario, including commercial range, oven, fryer, and broiler hookups within the existing approved gas-line piping. Major gas-line installation or piping is coordinated with a separately-licensed gas fitter.
How far in advance should I book?
Best results from 4-6 weeks ahead of the target install date, ideally before equipment is ordered (so we can flag utility-availability issues before money is committed). Tight-timeline installs (1-2 weeks) are possible — call to discuss; depends on equipment lead time and sub-trade availability.
Can you handle a chain-account rollout?
Yes — multi-location chain rollouts within Ottawa-Gatineau region. We’ve handled franchise builds, location-conversion installs, and chain refresh programs. Single point of contact, consistent install spec across locations.
Do you offer a warranty on installation work?
Yes — written warranty on the labour and any materials we supply during the install. Equipment carries its own manufacturer warranty (we register your warranties for you). Specifics confirmed in writing before billable work begins.
