We repair gas and electric dryers that won’t heat, won’t start, won’t tumble, shut off early or take too long. On electric models, no heat usually comes down to one of four parts: the heating element, the thermal fuse, or the cycling or high-limit thermostat. On gas models, it is the igniter, flame sensor or gas valve coil. If the motor runs but the drum doesn’t turn, the belt, idler pulley or drum rollers are the likely cause, and squeals and thumps usually come from rollers, glides or the idler.
