- Not cooling: compressor, evaporator fan, condenser fan and controls, with stock-loss triage first.
- Running constantly: dirty condenser, door gasket failure, controller miscalibration or signs of a refrigerant problem.
- Frost or ice buildup: defrost system, drain heater, controller and ice buildup on the evaporator coil.
- Door gasket failure: compression-cut gaskets replaced, plus heated frames, magnetic seals and sweeps.
- Loud noise: fan motor bearings, compressor mounts, condenser shroud and vibration isolation.
- Water on the floor: condensate drain, drip pan overflow, evaporator drain line and P-trap heat trace.
- Temperature alarms: controller setpoints, sensor calibration, high-limit cutout and alarm board.

03How it works
How a commercial fridge service call works
- Triage when you book. We capture the make and model and the symptom, and ask about stock-loss priority: which product to protect first, and whether you can move stock to an adjacent unit. Your request becomes an appointment once we call or text to confirm the time window; same-day visits are possible when the schedule allows.
- On-site diagnostic. A full diagnostic on the cabinet: compressor, evaporator and condenser fans, defrost system, door gasket, controller and drain line. You get a written quote that separates parts, labour and any sealed-system refrigerant work.
- Repair as soon as parts are available. After more than 30 years in Ottawa–Gatineau, we know which fan motors, controllers, defrost heaters, door gaskets and capacitors local distributors usually stock, and we have a parts warehouse in Gatineau, so many repairs can be finished the same day when the part is common and the schedule allows.
- Documented service and warranty. You receive a written diagnostic report on the work performed, useful for insurance, HACCP and chain-account audits. Repairs carry a 3-month warranty on parts and labour.

Commercial pricing and sealed-system work
The commercial service-call diagnostic is $129 + tax, and parts and labour are quoted in writing after the diagnostic. Service hours are 7 AM to 9 PM; after-hours visits between 9 PM and 7 AM add a $100 flat after-hours fee to regular rates. Jobs more than 30 km from downtown Ottawa may include travel charges, quoted up front.
Cabinet troubleshooting, controls, evaporator and condenser fan work, the defrost system, doors and gaskets, and drain lines are part of our regular commercial service. Sealed-system work (refrigerant recovery, recharging, brazing closed-circuit lines and compressor replacement involving the sealed circuit) is quoted separately and appears as its own line on your quote.
