Miele dishwasher repair in Ottawa

A Miele dishwasher is one of the most precisely engineered appliances in your kitchen, and one of the most expensive to replace. Most Miele faults are repairable, and Miele keeps service parts available for longer than mass-market brands. When a Miele dishwasher won’t start, won’t drain, leaves dishes wet or flashes a fault code, the repair is often done in a single visit if the failed part is common; otherwise a second visit follows once the ordered part arrives.

The parts that fail most are drain pumps, circulation pumps, float switches, door latches and electronic boards. Miele won’t drain: F11 fault

The F11 code means the control didn’t see the water drain within the expected time. On G-series machines this is most often a blocked drain-pump impeller, a clogged non-return valve or a kinked or blocked drain hose under the sink; sometimes the drain pump itself has failed. We clear the blockage, test the pump’s resistance and flow, and confirm the float chamber resets, so the F11 doesn’t come straight back. Miele won’t start or stays dead

If the panel is dark or knock2open or ComfortClose isn’t responding, we check the door interlock (the dishwasher won’t run unless the latch tells the board the door is shut), the power supply and the on/off membrane. Panel-ready units installed flush in cabinetry are frequent culprits, because the door alignment shifts over time and breaks the latch contact.

Dishes come out wet: AutoOpen drying not working

AutoOpen drying pops the door ajar at the end of the cycle to vent steam. If yours stays shut and the dishes are soaked, the AutoOpen actuator or its wiring is usually at fault, or the cycle is ending with a water-heating fault, so the final rinse never gets hot. F70 float fault or leaking base

An F70 trips when water reaches the base tray and the safety float rises. The machine is protecting your floor, and the leak is real: commonly a perished door seal, a cracked spray-arm bearing or a loose hose clamp. We find the source, dry and reset the float, and replace the failed seal or hose so the protection stops triggering. See also dishwasher leaking.

AutoDos and PowerDisk not dispensing

On AutoDos models the PowerDisk system can jam or the dispenser flap motor can fail, leaving dishes poorly cleaned even though the cycle completes. We test the dosing unit and flap and clear dried detergent that has seized the mechanism.

Long cycles, cold water or F24/F78 faults

Codes in the F2x and F7x range point to the heating relay, the flow heater or the circulation pump. A Miele that runs for hours, never heats or stops with F24 or F78 needs the heater circuit and circulation pump assessed. These are exactly the repairs that make a $1,500+ Miele worth keeping.
