  • Maytag washer F21 or F9 E1 error code: a drain fault, usually a blocked pump filter or a worn drain pump. On top-loaders a failed lid switch can also stop the cycle.
  • Maytag dryer not heating: the thermal fuse or heating element on electric models; the igniter or gas valve coils on gas models.
  • Maytag refrigerator ice maker failure: the water inlet valve or the ice maker module.
  • Maytag dishwasher not cleaning: a blocked spray arm, a clogged filter or a weak pump.
  • Maytag oven not heating: a burnt-out bake element, or a weak igniter on gas ranges.

What to tell us about your Maytag

Send the model number and what the appliance is doing, including any code on the display. The label is usually under the lid of a top-load washer, inside the door frame of a dryer, on a side wall inside the fridge, and behind the storage drawer of a range. That helps the technician come prepared, and many common repairs can then be finished on the first visit.

Do you repair Maytag gas dryers and ranges?

Yes. In Ontario, gas appliances are handled by our TSSA-certified technicians, and the gas diagnostic is $129 + tax. If you smell gas, leave the home first and call Enbridge Gas (Gazifère in Gatineau) or 911 from outside.
